Posted: Monday 24 November, 2008

The pressure is on for make-up artists competing in Lifetime’s new reality series Blush: The Search for the Next Great Make-Up Artist. Contestants from around the country have their eyes on some pretty good prizes: a Max Factor contract, an In Styleshoot and $100,000 in cash. The show, hosted by Vanessa Marcil, premiered Nov. 11 with a Los Angeles-based house full of contestants: Sharzod Kiadeh, Jessica Millington, Myke Michaels, Farah Carter, Maura Mo Lewitts, Todd Homme, Nolan Makaawaawa, Rainell Chivonne and Maxi. Victoria’s Secret make-up artist Charlie Green is mentoring the artists through two different make-up competitions designed to test their technical skills and chair-side manner. Celebrity make-up artist Joanna Schlip (a frequent IMATS guest speaker) and In Stylefashion director Hal Rubenstein are the judges, and will choose a finalist by mid-December.
Blush airs Tuesdays on Lifetime ( In the USA) .
